PANORAMA ACADEMY
LEARN THE METHOD. ACT NOW!
The Method
“Method acting is what all actors have always done whenever they acted well.” – Lee Strasberg
What Strasberg meant with this wasn’t that The Method had always existed, but rather that it emerged as a tool to consistently achieve captivating and moving performances.
What is Method Acting?
Method Acting, as described by Lee Strasberg, is a technique that trains actors to deliver authentic, captivating performances. Strasberg believed that while great acting has always involved deeply experiencing the character’s life, The Method provides a systematic approach to achieving these powerful results.
Core Principles
- Affective Memory: Using personal memories to evoke genuine emotions.
- Sensory Exercises: Developing imagination and emotional depth.
- Relaxation Techniques: Releasing mental and physical tension.
